Early examples of the Metaverse appeared in virtual world games like Second Life, Roblox, IMVU and many others. These games offered a fully open world that players are free to develop and thrive in.

Brands that have started to build a presence of the Metaverse are takes pages from the same book the above virtual world games came from. Real estate developers in the virtual space offer immense properties for sale in exchange for cryptocurrency. These properties can be used to build non-fungible token galleries and virtual world shops.

What Can People Expect From the Metaverse?

In a nutshell, the Metaverse will turn everyone into a gamer of sorts. Once it is widely used and adopted, the virtual space will be a fun place for everyone to go to.

That’s because there’ll be all sorts of people and activities in the Metaverse. You can visit shops built by real brands and businesses, and make purchases for both real and virtual items. You can get together with your work colleagues and conduct a meeting with a beautiful digital landscape on the background.

Of course, you can just set up your avatar and escape to a world of your own creation if the real world is too stressful for you. In this sense, the Metaverse can be a very effective stress reliever!
